Discolored lips from smoking

i used to smoke for one month straight and now i've noticed that my lips are two colors now. The outside is turning dark brown and it is tough skin. The inside is just like it should be...pink. It looks bad to have the outside all dark looking and then the inside is very pink. So i want to know what should i do to take away the rough outter part of my lips?

What's the best way to return my lips to their natural color? I am a black male,I'm straight so no lipstick :) I use black and mild cigars with a plastic tip. is this the problem?

Please e-mail concerning my lips. I don't know if its because the alcohol or smoking. But is there anything that I can do?
