My 8 yr old peke has been on predisone fo 6 weeks now due to a back injury. He has recently developed a lumpy bump on his lip. We took him to the doctor and she wants to take it off and test it. The next day, I looked in his mouth and he has what looks to be another lump starting further up in his mouth on the other side, it looks like infection to me....I asked her to put him on antibiotics, but I still have him scheduled for surgery on the 20th. Is mouth cancer lumpy? She said it may also be an allergy...??? He has been constantly licking his front paws, he never has done this before.....Has anyone else gone thru something similar to this?
